Cabin Fever

So last night I got a case of cabin fever, and being totally bored decided a trip to the ER was as good a way as any to break the day up. Drove to the ER, got checked out and they didn't keep me. I guess I must be losing my edge as a patient. (Though I did generate $4,665.00 in hospital bills).

Got home around 10:30 and decided they didn't realize how much a change of scenery was really needed, so I called 911, hoped into the bus and was back in the ER by 1:00 am. (Damn good response by the local ambulance corp).

Kept me an hour this time before throwing me out. Last time I went to the ER in April I didn't get home till September. Guess I got lucky.

I guess if the evenings's TV offers only lameness and you are bored with your book, this is one way to generate a night's entertainment. I could think of many better ways, however. Would you like me to send you a list?

MAO

I love you. My family loves you. And two ER runs in one night is just unsatisfactory!

I am hereby calling a moratorium for all ER visits. You will cease and desist immediately. Don't make me bribe you with homemade treats and goodies. Or do, if you'd rather...

;-) Glad you are back home, safe and (relatively) sound.

Note to self: Buy BlueStarTurtle a video of scenic vistas of exotic locations so he is less tempted by the fascinating views of local ERs.

OK, OK...

...you're still the same twisted individual we know and love.

Now knock it off! You no longer need to prove it to us.

OTOH, it's good to know you're still yourself, and even gladder that this no longer means "confined to a hospital for months."

Be well, my friend.

You're a total fuckhead, which is, of course, why I love you. (I'm referring to how you're characterizing this, of course, not the fact that you went to the ER.) It's good to be reading you.

Maybe you should talk to my dad. He's got a much better track record for being kept, and consistently for 4-5 days at a time. Not too long. Nice change of scenery, gets to catch up on what's going on in his favorite nurses lives, the food's not too bad, and always has a room full of interns who like meeting him because he's got the most f-up lungs they've ever seen. He's a minor celebrity.

And yea, when he went in the other night they kept him again.

I'm glad to know at least one of you is home.

Miss you.
